/etc/ldap.conf replaced with /etc/nslcd.conf it seems

uri DNS
base DOMAIN

The comment out pam_password because of this:

Starting nslcd: nslcd: /etc/nslcd.conf:135: unknown keyword: 'pam_password'

Postfix is the default MTA, ick! sendmail is still available.
