PhiX:The non-toxic lab

The aim is to aggregate evidence-based alternatives to commonly used lab chemicals and equipment with a view to favouring safety above all. Ideally we wouldn't use toxic substances at all, but we can mitigate risks by containment methods and safer alternatives. Some alternatives also offer cost and time advantages and there is no good reason to use the traditional methods.
- SB buffer not TAE/TBE
- SYBR Safe dye not ethidium bromide. Evidence for this is controversial.
