Conference Centre and Hotel

The 2011 Galaxy Developer Conference is being held at the Conference Centre De Werelt in Lunteren, The Netherlands. The conference center is also the official meeting hotel. Space at the hotel can be reserved at the same time you register for the conference. Please register early, as the number of rooms available in the hotel is limited.

The hotel cost depends on the night and the type of room. The hotel has rooms that can be shared with two people. When you register you specify if you want single occupancy or to share a room. If you share a room, you are given the choice of having the organizers arrange a roommate, specifying another participant, or sharing the room with a non-conference guest.

Transportation

Itinerary to "De Werelt" Lunteren

By car:

  • coming from Amsterdam: take highway A1 direction Apeldoorn; turn to highway A30 direction Barneveld/Ede; take exit Lunteren.
  • coming from Utrecht: take highway A12 direction Arnhem; turn to highway A30 direction Barneveld/Ede; take exit Lunteren.
  • coming from Rotterdam: take highway A4, turn to highway A20 direction Gouda; turn to highway A12 direction Utrecht; see: coming from Utrecht
  • in Lunteren: follow the signs "Alle richtingen" (Rondweg Westzoom); After that you can follow the signs "De Werelt".

By train:

  • By train you can reach Lunteren, without change, from NS railwaystation Utrecht (via Amersfoort) and from NS railwaystation Ede-Wageningen. From the railwaystation in Lunteren you can walk in about 15 minutes to De Werelt.
  • If you're arriving with the train from Utrecht/Amersfoort turn to the right, walk across the carpark direction sauna and walk to the left on the Boslaan. On the crossroads turn to the right to the Molenweg. Turn the first road left to the Westhofflaan. At the end of this road you'll find De Werelt.
  • If you're arriving with the train from Ede-Wageningen turn left over the levelcrossing, walk across the carpark direction sauna: see above.

Meals

Breakfast
Breakfast is included with hotel reservations. If you are not staying at the conference hotel then you should eat breakfast before arriving.
Lunch
Lunch is provided on both days.
Dinner
The conference dinner is at the end of the first day (25 May), and the cost is included in conference registration. Guest dinner tickets can be purchased when registering. In addition, dinner can also be ordered for the night before (24 May) and the night after (26 May) the conference. If you want these additional dinners you need to order them at registration.
